Rev. John Roth
Thrive Community Church was started as a culmination of God's work in me and on me over the years. I have been shaped by nearly 30 years of work in campus ministries and my experiences both as a youth myself in search for deeper discipleship and a pastor of churches. Our mission is to bless and disciple people so they thrive in their relationship with Jesus Christ and others, creating Christian community. Thus, our church is both a campus ministry to FGCU and a congregation of those who passionately want to reach the next generations with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
I am currently the Coordinator for Adjunct Faculty at FGCU and pastor of Thrive. I'm on mission all the time and get amazing opportunities at this campus of 16,000 students in SW Florida. The church supports this mission and lives it out as well. We model the Christian life for each other. I also have been given opportunity to teach at FGCU with classes like Hebrew Bible, New Testament and more.

We envision a church that serves both the university and community, creating intergenerational mentoring relationships and also becoming a training center, sending out college students with the passion, character, skills and knowledge to plant churches and ministries around the world.
