Mile Square Nominated for Community Service Provider of the Year

Greetings in the name of the Lord! We have officially opened our doors for weekly worship services and have successfully worshiped for three Sundays in a row! You can find us at the Hoboken Bow Tie Cinemas in theater 5 every Sunday morning at 10am!

I am very excited to share with you that Mile Square Church is a finalist in the Hoboken Elevate Awards. We were nominated for being the "Community Service Provider of the Year"! It's an honor to be nominated, especially with only three services under our belt! The award dinner will take place on November 7th.

Earlier this month we began a new season of Connect Groups. This is a great time for members of our community to connect and dive deep into topics like Emotionally Healthy Spirituality, Financial Peace, The Reason for God and more. We also continue to meet every 4th Wednesday of the month for Real Talk where we open up the conversation to discuss relevant issues such as Big Pharma and Transhumanism. We continue to enjoy hanging out locally in Hoboken, with a bowling night planned for November 1st.

It's an exciting time for Mile Square as we continue to enjoy the blessings God has gifted to us through this ministry! Please keep us in your prayers as we continue to hold weekly worship services and grow the community of Mile Square.

New Worship Facility, New Worship Time

Camino de Fe has some exciting news!

As you know, Camino de Fe has been gathering weekly in different homes for more than a year, and worshiping monthly at Somerset Hills Lutheran Church in Basking Ridge. We are so grateful for Somerset Hills and pastor John and for the opportunity to worship there and we will continue to partner with them as we move forward. Recently St. Bernard’s Episcopal Church in Bernardsville opened their doors for us to have weekly gatherings there and worship once a month on the first Sunday of the month. St. Bernard’s is right in the middle of town and within walking distance from
families from Camino de Fe.

We also added a second weekly gathering on Fridays in Bernardsville. The Wednesday gatherings will continue to meet in different homes and at the public Library and on Fridays, we will meet at St. Bernard’s. In addition to all this, we will be able to have a signage letting the community know about our gatherings and welcoming them to join us.

This is exciting news for Camino de Fe as more and more people were asking about our location and we can finally say, we are ‘up the street from the train station.” Our Core Team had its first gathering this past Friday and we worshipped together this past Sunday. We are so grateful that God is opening doors for us and leading us in the direction He wants us to go.

Since we now have a worship space, we will be creating a list of all our needs for this new worship space. Be on the lookout for that!
I continue my work to meet more people each week. St. Bernard’s also has a mentoring program for children in Pre-K to 12 grade in partnership with the local YMCA. I volunteer every Wednesday from 3-5pm. And on this Thursday, Camino de Fe will provide a meal or the back-to-school Spanish speaking families at the elementary school. I also continue to meet people at the train station, delis and library.

There is more exciting news coming next month. For now you should also know that Camino de Fe moved its Sunday worship to 5:00 pm. In that way, I can serve at a vacancy or fill in for churches in need of a preacher.

Keep us in your prayers! Pray for our plans for this new coming season at Camino de Fe; pray for our leaders: Helen, Carmen, Manuel, Jessica, and Deborah, as they continue to lead Wednesday gatherings; pray for those relationships that we are building; and pray that God continues to open our eyes and our hearts to see the need of our communities.
